hopefully giorno is prepared for corndogs...
WHO: Clark and Giorno
WHAT: they finally meet... and go to the amusement park!
WHERE: SuperFunland in Laughter
WHEN: during the day
WARNINGS: none so far!
It had taken a little bit of messaging back and forth, but by the end of it, they'd decided to meet at the park entrance for their day. Clark, for his part, was pretty excited, both to meet a new friend (someone like him! someone who could do things!) and because, well, it was still an amusement park. He didn't get to go too often, or at all, since the best that they usually had around where they were was the county fair. And that was the same four rides every year, honestly. The whole thing lost a bit of its luster when you'd been going since you were three. And, you know, you could fly.
But he's excited, waiting in line, and hoping to spot Giorno when he arrives The line isn't too bad, but he'd come a little early so he was hoping to get a jump on it. Thankfully, his new friend is easy to spot. And, you know, super-vision...

He grins wide when he sees Clark at the entrance, gives a small wave. Clark's just as distinctive in the opposite direction, with all that flannel.
"I hope you have an idea where to start," he remarks, "because I really don't." It's a little overwhelming already, honestly, but he trusts Clark to guide him right.

Clark, for his part, has a couple of copies of the park map, one of which is already creased in places from where he's been looking at it and folding it up and folding it the wrong way and stuffing it in his backpack. The other one is fresh and clean and crisp and he holds out it to Giorno immediately.
"Well, it's kinda cool because it's set up just like the City, in a circle? So we can go in a circle too and see everything. I actually worked out a pretty good route, I think," and the crinkled map is carefully pulled open to show a carefully marked path in among the cartoonishly drawn attractions.
"I picked the stuff that sounded neat and I skipped the show stuff since I figure like, if we want to do a movie or a play or something we'd go to see that another time. But the place I picked for lunch has jousting so that should be cool to watch while we eat."

It's a little awe-inspiring how thorough Clark's been through all of this, though. It's sweet and unexpected and strange, but Giorno is happy about it all the same, in a giddy way. There's something about kindness for nothing that's still novel to him. It takes a great deal of getting used to.
"You've really thought this through, haven't you," he murmurs, running his fingers over the map Clark's holding, the path that's been drawn for them. "I'm glad you're showing me around and not someone else. You're the most thoughtful person I've met here by far."

"You said it was your first time. I wanted it to be a really good one. Everyone deserves to have a good time at an amusement park, after all."
He looks forward at the line and frowns a little, leaning up a little until he's off the ground an inch or two to look past a taller man in front of them. Satisfied, he settles back down.
"Looks like the line won't be too bad. I think they just had someone forget their wallet."

"You don't want to just fly us in over the line?" he asks, but the way he says it makes it clear he's teasing. A moment later, and more seriously, "I don't mind waiting a bit anyway. It gives me more time to interrogate you. Do you like flying? Is it fun?"
no subject
"Yeah. It's one of my favorite things. I mean, it was a little scary when I started but at this point, I've got a pretty good handle on it so it's just cool."
