[OPEN] I Jumped So High I Touched The Clouds

WHO: Karen Page & you!
WHAT: Coffee & exploration. Possibly hitting the Expo?
WHEN: Mid-morning
WHERE: Near the McAran Building
NOTES/WARNINGS: None as yet.

Karen hit the button on her CALL device and in the blink of an eye, she was no longer standing in her living room.  Now she was standing on the square outside a towering skyscraper in what looked like the set of a god-damned Star Trek movie.  There were flying cars over head, and a -- was that a satellite hanging in the atmosphere above them?

She's just gonna gawk and spin in place for a few minutes.

You can also find her standing in line buying a cup of coffee in a nearby café.

It's a good thing they talked on the network first, it makes it easier for Dave to approach her without being totally awkward. Just a little bit is fine.

"Quite a view, isn't it?" He asks with a smile and sympathy in his tone.

"That's me. Nice to meet you, Karen. I mean like, in person." He shakes her hand, smiling at how cute she is. Ok, he is taken, but a man still can have an opinion, right? "Been to the Satellite yet? It has its own version of Starbucks."

"That's alright. I still don't know what I'm doing half of the time and I've been here for a while." He wants to be nice but that's also the pure truth. The SFC still takes him by surprise every day. "If you're from New York though, Tomorrow gets easy to navigate with time. Can't recommend Laughter..." He comments as he guides her through the Satellite's entrance, aliens seen everywhere around them. "...but I can recommend good Earth-like coffee?"

Steve notices her, since he'd been on the way to the McAran building to ask the front desk woman something, and he can tell right off that she's new. He waits until she's at the line for coffee, however, before he gets in line behind her.

"Hey," he starts off with, since he's trying not to be a creep.

Tony had already been planning on checking out the City of Tomorrow again, because seeing it a couple of times already hadn't been enough. So, when Karen mentioned wanting to explore, Tony didn't even hesitate in agreeing to accompany her. He still felt pretty new in a lot of things around here, mainly because there were so many things to explore and see, but like he had told her, they could just explore together. What better way to get to know the city, right?

As promised, he makes his way to the cafe and, once inside, he looks around for her. As he generally does with his long sleeve shirts, the sleeves are rolled to the middle of his forearm, which makes the red metallic right arm extremely visible. It almost looks like he's wearing part of the suit (and in some ways he is), gauntlet and all, but it's his arm. Which he knows it's one of the differences between himself and the Tony(s) that both Steves seemed to know, so now he can't help but wonder if it's the same case for Karen as well. Was he the Tony Stark from her timeline, or was she also from another universe that wasn't his own?

Either way, he was looking forward to meeting her. When he spots a blonde that seems to recognize him, Tony smiles and walks over to her. "Karen?"

If Tony sees or notices her confusion over his hand, he doesn't show it. He just smiles, and reaches over to shake her hand in greeting. The soft whirring of the mechanism that makes his arm work could be felt through it, but if she reacts to it, Tony won't take offense to it. He's used to throwing people off with the prosthetic, really, especially lately since apparently he's the only Tony Stark that is missing an arm.

He doesn't mind it, though. His stance remains cool and relaxed, and he grins as he politely shakes his head. "I appreciate the offer, but that's perfectly okay. It's a pleasure to meet you, Karen. Let me just ask for a cup of coffee, yeah? Excuse me for one sec."

This is probably his fourth cup of the day, but hey, who's counting. Tony loves caffeine and, after he places his order (black coffee, no fixings), he goes back to sit at Karen's table. "So, how are you finding everything? Still weirded out by this whole thing?"
