You've got a friend in me
WHO: Peter Parker & Steve Rogers
WHAT: There's a wolf following him around and it's honestly kind of awesome.
WHEN: Night
WHERE: City of Adventure
WARNINGS: None
STATUS: In-Progress
Peter doesn't know what he's going to do about this, but clearly, steps need to be taken. This was getting out of hand. He was starting to get attached.
He's been doing longer patrols in the SFC, in addition to the normal ones he did back home, after figuring out that time literally stopped when he left home? Don't even get him started on the complete nonsense that was, scientifically - it was making his brain hurt. Anyway, all he was really doing was giving his body twice the beat down he normally got, patrolling an extra city, now that he had the time to do it in.
The first time he met the wolf, Peter was a little worn down from the double patrols and bleeding in the alley, somewhat on the losing side of the current altercation. Didn't know his limits - or, well, he knew them, he just ignored them. Smart one, that Parker kid.
And the creature had just - jumped in and kicked ass, like some sort of furry guardian angel. Peter had webbed away before dealing with it, because like hell was he getting on the wrong side of a wolf. How the hell did it even get into the city?
But then, Peter met it a second time. And a third. He was starting to wonder if the overgrown dog was following him. Ridiculous! Or was it? Was he really going to draw the line at a quadrupedal fan?
It's only after the fourth time the wolf has jumped out of the shadows to pounce on a common criminal on Peter's behalf that he actually stays to - what, thank it? He's glad he does, though, because the wolf actually seems kind of friendly and there's no denying he's helpful. Besides, Peter is...kind of lonely. He says kind of, he is.
"Should I be looking into getting you a collar? Is this a thing?" Tonight is the first night he's actually patrolling with the animal, and it should feel weirder than it does. But Peter likes the idea that someone - er, something? - has his back. It wasn't like he usually had a whole lot of backup. "Spiderman and his Fluffy Friend. Too gimicky?"
Yes he's talking to the wolf as he webs up the would-be robbers they've just caught. At least he has a target to aim his less-than-witty monologuing at.
