[ He lied about being at his apartment. Tomorrow is already bright and cheerful around him as Loki makes his way to the central city hub from where he can easily head to any part of this particular city, mooching around in jeans and a green hoodie like any other pretty twenty-something with somewhere to be in the gleaming midst of skyscrapers. It reminds him a little of New York here, cleaner but homely in the way that one particular section of Midgard usually is ... as he texts an Avenger in a different dimension, no biggie. An Avenger who was until a few years ago Super Freaking Dead, but whatever, it's not as though he's going to break the even worse news about Earth-616's Cassie Lang to this fellow (especially with Doom's recent involvement).
Sure thing, he types back to the last message, wrinkling his nose in distaste at being caught out so quickly on skimping the price of a date, Drinks are on me!
And so, he waits with his curiosity piqued, probably not in Scott's best interests. That's why, of course, Loki leaves off the Asgardian attire; he can't do any good if someone assumes he's going to immediately be bad. ]
