Meulin does take some time to make her way out here, more careful than her matesprit but just as eager. Exploring this grand world is half the fun and even out here on the water where she's nervous and looking for the shore, it's still exciting. Scary but exciting. Thankfully, she has been assured that there are no demons to be found.
Stepping off the boat, she stops still to take in the place. It's strange in a different way from all the place she'd been before. It's strange in a way she thinks reminds her of something but she's far too busy staring to remember what. They don't seem to care that she's so odd looking among all their humans and their new clothing and their strange devices. And their beasts. Trailing after others like the little beasts she's seen on leashes in Romance but there's so very many and with such a great variety. There are also no leashes.
It takes her some time to find Kurloz, because she walks away from the docks in a crowd and then wanders back and finally--finally finds him all curled up with a beast in his lap. She leans in to kiss his forehead and holds out her hand for inspection and possible sniffing.
If he's found a bizarre tiny lusus pet, she should make friends.
"Are you all set on adopting a beast too? Is that the supurrise? Little beasts fur the finding?"
Her shoulders itch. Maybe she's allergic to the sea. That would be unfortunate.
